Schenck doses out the "D"

Zach Schenck picked a great time to have a "monster" game, as CV narrowly got by JC in a defensive first round playoff battle. Schenck had quietly been having a fine junior season, being amongst defensive leaders for the Warriors. But in this playoff win, Zach's contributions were anything but quiet. The PA announcer regularly noted #50 "in on the play" in the thrilling 18-14 home win. Schenck assisted on 13 tackles and added 4 solo. Of those tackles, two were quarterback "half sacks" with one "full sack" to his credit. He also blocked a punt a critical time which paid huge dividends as the Warriors scored on the following play. Throw in a recovered fumble and it all adds up to a huge day for Zach. CV's Defense Coach Klein..."Zach is consistently in the mix, but today it all clicked for him and what better timing...we needed the defensive spark and he was it. This is the type of game Zach will have more of".
